Dining, Entertainment & Shopping


Residents of Coral Gables enjoy access to multiple shopping, dining, and entertainment choices. The Miracle Mile features many excellent stores and restaurants, all in a walkable downtown-like area. Season 52 is one of the fantastic restaurants you can find here. It is a new American restaurant with a rotating menu focusing on seasonal dishes in an upscale atmosphere.

For a casual yet upscale dining experience, Gustave features exceptional French cuisine. In addition, the restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they have a weekend brunch, complete with fantastic coffee.

Located on Southwest 42nd Avenue is Graziano's Restaurant, an Argentinean steakhouse. They offer fantastic wine options in a casual yet classy atmosphere with excellent food. You can watch your food being prepared in a firepit through floor-to-ceiling glass windows while you sip on exceptional wine or beer.

A few blocks from Graziano's is Books and Books, a local bookstore and café that hosts various events, such as author features, signings, and virtual evenings. They also have book clubs and school book fairs.

The Shops at Merrick Park is a selection of restaurants and stores that has women's apparel from luxury brands, such as Neiman Marcus and Gucci. Local restaurants, such as 320 Restobar and Sea Grill, are featured along with national chains.

Things to Do


Coral Gables residents have access to a variety of events and entertainment. Every Fourth of July, The Historic Biltmore hotel hosts a fireworks show and concert. The golf course's lawn is open to the public to congregate and enjoy the show. The hotel provides food trucks for the event. In addition, they have a "Stars and Stripes" Barbecue Dinner with an open bar and desserts. The event is a local favorite where many gather to celebrate the holiday.

Another notable event is the Carnaval on the Mile, a two-day event that features fantastic local art, live music, and cuisine. In addition, there is children's entertainment and activities. Two large stages have various types of music for attendees to experience while they sample food from local establishments. Booths feature more than 200 artists selling crafts, sculptures, jewelry, and paintings.

A fun and loved downtown area event is Sip and Savor, where residents enjoy drinks and unique bite options from downtown area restaurants. You can experience the best of local food, drinks, and entertainment while exploring various eateries downtown.

Enjoying time outside is a must for Coral Gables residents, and Salvadore Park is a favorite location for people to gather and enjoy a tennis match with friends. The park has thirteen clay tennis courts lighted for evening or nighttime play.

For additional outdoor recreation, the Venetian Pool is another local favorite. It was created in 1923 from a coral rock quarry and fed from an underground aquifer. This loved historical landmark features multiple caves, waterfalls, and palm trees to be enjoyed with friends and family.
